- • You are under no obligation to purchase insurance from any provider
Important: The referral fee does not affect the insurance rates you receive. Providers cannot charge you more because you came through ElectrIQ.
2. Financing Lead Referrals
When you apply for EV financing pre-approval through ElectrIQ, we connect you with vetted Canadian lenders who may compensate us for qualified leads. Here's the process:
- • You submit a financing application with your financial information
- • We route your application to licensed lenders operating in your province
- • Lenders perform soft credit checks and contact you with pre-approval offers
- • We may earn a lead referral fee ($20-$75 CAD) and potentially an approval bonus ($100-$300 CAD) if you complete financing
- • All financing terms are between you and the lender
Important: Our referral relationships do not influence the interest rates or terms you receive. Lenders set their own rates based on your creditworthiness and market conditions.
3. Product Affiliate Commissions
When you purchase products through affiliate links on ElectrIQ (such as home EV chargers, accessories, or related equipment), we may earn a commission from the retailer:
- • Commission rates typically range from 3-8% of your purchase price
- • The commission is paid by the retailer, not added to your purchase price
- • Major affiliate partners include Amazon.ca and specialized EV equipment retailers
- • Products are marked with affiliate disclosure language near purchase links
Important: You pay the same price whether you use our affiliate link or go directly to the retailer.
Partner Selection & Vetting Process
All insurance providers, financing partners, and product vendors featured on ElectrIQ must meet our quality standards:
